The Shire’s Manager Community Services (MCS) is the link between Council and the Ravensthorpe Shire Community. In addition to assisting in the development of the local and regional economy, the MCS endeavours to build a sense of community and improve the community spirit.

The MCS is a member of many working groups which provides for continuous community contact and involvement in community-related projects. The MCS applies for sponsorship and grants to fund Council projects and may assist community groups and organisations with funding applications.

The Manager Community Services also undertakes many of the Council’s marketing requirements and maintains contact with the residents and ratepayers of the Shire. The MCS is also responsible for articles relating to the happenings within the Shire through the local newspaper the Community Spirit and other regional newspapers.
