RAVENSTHORPE Highlights of THE FITZGERALD COAST
1. Fitzgerald School Site: this has been recently restored to mark the significance of the school, the settlement and development of the district.
2. Ravensthorpe Hopetoun Visitor Centre and Museum provide a wealth of information. The museum, miner’s cottage and historic shoe display are great attractions. See a 72 sample mineral display of locally occurring gem stones.
3. Archer Drive and Lookout in the Ravensthorpe Range provide a picturesque scenic drive and unique wildflower viewing opportunities in spring.
4. Hopetoun Ravensthorpe Railway Heritage Walk Trail: The historically significant walking trail follows the old railway line between the two towns. There are easy to walk sections with plaques and picnic facilities, and great wildflower viewing opportunities; Ravensthorpe to Desmond, Desmond to Kundip, Kundip to Lee Creek figure of eight and Hopetoun Trail Head Loop. 5. Between Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun is Ethel Daw Drive, a short diversion of about 1.5km on Elverdton road which takes you to Mt. Desmond lookout, a great vantage point offering 360 degree views.

HOPETOUN Highlights of THE FITZGERALD COAST
1. Stop at the Welcome Information Bay as you arrive in Hopetoun to learn about the Fitzgerald River National Park and the Hopetoun area.
2. Beacon Hill Lookout: take in the magnificent setting of Hopetoun, the silhouette of East Mt Barren in the Fitzgerald River National Park.
3. Drive to East Mt Barren lookout, this ocean view lookout will take your breath away! Continue to Sepulcralis Hill Lookout and be amazed by the Royal Hakea and abundant wildflowers all year round.
4. Spend a lazy afternoon on Barrens Beach at the base of East Mt Barren, swimming, snorkeling or playing cricket. There are some fascinating rock pools here to enjoy. Whales visit in Spring.
5. Visit the Southern Ocean Discovery Centre enjoy an Ice Cream at The Deck.
6. With a glass of wine at West Beach, see the sun set over the ocean and behind West Mt Barren.
7. From Southern Ocean Road (gravel) visit idyllic beaches and fishing spots, such as Two Mile, Five Mile and Twelve Mile beaches. Between June and September look out for whales.
8. On the way to Starvation Bay and Munglinup stay the night at Mason Bay, or just cast a line and fish for an hour or two. You may feel a sense of history as you cross the tracks of some of Western Australia's early explorers including John Septimus Rowe, and see where the No.1 Rabbit Proof Fence meets the sea.
9. Lake Shaster and the Oldfield Estuary are renowned havens for rare and unusual birds.

BREMER BAY—JERRAMUNGUP Highlights of THE FITZGERALD COAST
1. Snorkel or take a scuba dive tour from Bremer Bay. Little Boat Harbour has a designated dive trail, with a depth of 3 to 10 meters for the amateur and experienced. See schools of old wives and zebra fish, with seaweed dragons, the best hard and soft coral diving on the south coast.
2. Visit the Historic Wellstead Museum on the outskirts of Bremer Bay for memorabilia of days gone by with Café and BYO Restaurant.
3. Take in the fantastic view of Bremer Beach and West Mt Barren from the Bremer Bay lookout at the end of Progress Drive.
4. Tolleburrup Hill Lookout off Black Rocks Road, boasts panoramic views of Bremer Bay and Dillon Bay.
5. Enjoy the thrill of the surf at Native Dog Beach near Bremer Bay.
6. Swim,fish or just relax at Fishery Beach, Short Beach, Back Beach or Bremer Beach, some of the best beaches you will ever see.
7. Take a picnic and drive into the Fitzgerald River National Park, visit Quaalup Homestead climb West Mt Barren for the panoramic views, go bush walking on the Pt Ann Heritage Trail. It will take a full day to enjoy the sights.
8. Twertup Field Study Centre and its historic spongolite quarry also offer the “Horrie Dorrie” Walk Trail. Enjoy Red Scarlet Banksia and see the magnificent Royal Hakea and abundant wildflowers all year, along Pabelup Drive.
