The Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA) provides the public with a right to access documents held by the Shire of Ravensthorpe, subject to certain limitations.  

Making a Freedom of Information application

An application for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act must:  

  • be made in writing
  • give enough information to identify the documents requested
  • be accompanied by the prescribed application fee (where applicable)

Fees and charges

An application fee may apply in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA).

Access to documents outside FOI

Before submitting an FOI application, please contact the Shire to check whether the information is available without a formal application.

If the information you are seeking is available outside the FOI process, staff will advise you of alternative access options.
