About the role
The Shire of Ravensthorpe has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and driven person to lead our Corporate & Community Services Team.
This is a key position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they are a person with proven success in team leadership, project planning and service delivery.
As the Director Corporate and Community Services, you will lead the Shire’s strategic, corporate, community and financial planning in line with the integrated planning framework. You will oversee key functions including finance, ICT, customer service, records, procurement, community services and tourism, while ensuring strong financial accountability and compliance. The role includes delivering the Corporate Business Plan, long-term financial planning, and annual budgets and reports, as well as identifying sustainable funding opportunities. You will provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer and lead your Directorate to deliver high-quality, community-focused services aligned with the Shire’s vision and values.

Conditions
The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, or management, with demonstrated experience in financial and corporate leadership within Local Government or a similar context.
What’s in it for you?
A performance based 3 to 5-year contract will be negotiated which includes an attractive remuneration package between $192,000 to $215,000 including a negotiable cash component commensurate with qualifications and experience plus generous annual leave, up to 17% superannuation (conditional), vehicle and housing provided, plus relocation allowance and other non-cash benefits.
Location
The Shire of Ravensthorpe encompasses the settlements of Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun, Jerdacuttup, Munglinup and Fitzgerald and is located within the picturesque Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast region. Located five hours south east of Perth, two hours west of Esperance and three hours east of Albany, the Shire of Ravensthorpe is nestled amongst the spectacular Fitzgerald River National Park, the Ravensthorpe Range and stunning coastline.
