Local roads

Local roads are those roads which are owned and managed by the Shire of Ravensthorpe, many of which are unsealed.

Local roads can be closed due to fire, maintenance or if they have been affected by weather.

Major roads and highways are controlled by Main Roads WA, which uses an up to date travel map for all the latest info on their roads.

Grading Report

The Shire of Ravensthorpe maintains an extensive network of unsealed roads across the district.

To help keep our community informed, we publish a monthly grading report showing where grading works have recently been completed.

National Park road access

There are a number of access points to enter the Fitzgerald River National Park.

These roads can be closed regularly due to fire, maintenance or environmental concerns, but the most common reason for closure is high rainfall.
