Periodic review of local laws
Council commenced a periodic review of the Shire’s local laws in October 2021. Following public consultation, Council considered the review report at its Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 15 February 2022.
The review found that no changes were required to the Bush Fire Brigades, Fencing, Health, Local Government Property, Parking and Parking Facilities and Pest Plant local laws.
Council also resolved to amend the Dogs Local Law 2010 and replace the Standing Orders Local Law 2003 with a new Meeting Procedures Local Law. These processes were subsequently completed.
