EOI – Casual and Ad Hoc Cleaning of Shire Facilities
The Shire of Ravensthorpe invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably experienced individuals and cleaning businesses interested in providing contract cleaning services for Shire-managed facilities within the Shire of Ravensthorpe.
The Shire is seeking to establish a pool of reliable local cleaning contractors who may be engaged on an as-needed basis to undertake routine, occasional, short-notice and one-off cleaning assignments.
This opportunity may suit established cleaning businesses, sole traders or individuals interested in providing flexible cleaning services under a contracting arrangement.
Scope of services
Cleaning assignments may include public buildings, community facilities, meeting rooms, offices, public conveniences and other Shire-managed facilities.
Services may involve general cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms, rubbish removal, event-related cleaning and periodic deep cleaning.
Information required from applicants
Interested contractors are requested to provide:
- Business and contact details: Name, trading name (if applicable), contact number, email address and ABN (if held).
- Hourly rates: Proposed hourly cleaning rate, indicating whether GST is included or excluded, together with any minimum call-out fee.
- Additional charges: Rates for weekends, public holidays, after-hours attendance, urgent call-outs and any specialised cleaning services.
- Availability: Preferred working days and hours, including capacity to undertake short-notice or occasional work.
- Experience: Relevant cleaning experience, qualifications, references and types of facilities previously serviced.
- Equipment and supplies: Whether cleaning equipment, products and consumables are provided by the contractor or would need to be supplied by the Shire.
- Insurance and compliance: Details of relevant insurance coverage and willingness to meet applicable Shire contractor requirements.
Engagement arrangements
Submitting an EOI does not guarantee work or constitute an offer of employment. The Shire may engage suitable contractors from time to time, depending on operational needs, availability, pricing, relevant experience and compliance with Shire purchasing and contractor requirements.
Specific assignments, service standards, fees and other conditions will be agreed before commencement of work.
