At the Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 15 April 2025 Council endorsed the draft Recreational Vehicle (RV) Friendly Policy going out for public comment.
Our region has become increasingly popular with RV tourists in recent years and the aim of the policy is to balance the benefits of tourism with the wellbeing of local residents.
We currently hold RV Friendly status and this policy outlines how we will work to maintain that recognition while setting clear standards to protect local services.
The Shire has already consulted with several businesses on this topic and we are now inviting the community to contribute by having their say on the draft policy.
This is an important step in making sure decisions are transparent, inclusive and reflect the needs and values of the community.
