Financial skills sessions for sporting and community clubs

The Shire of Ravensthorpe is pleased to offer “Financial Skills for Sporting and Community Clubs” (Every Club Program), a special online workshop aimed at upskilling members and volunteer committees of sporting clubs.

Local clubs are the heart of regional communities, bringing people together, improving health outcomes and reducing isolation. However, their long-term viability often depends on the skills of dedicated volunteers.

Challenges related to cash flow, effective reporting and transparency, legal compliance and maintaining member trust can jeopardise a club’s future.

Financial management is often an intimidating topic because it is perceived as too difficult or boring. The challenge many clubs face is moving beyond this perception to actively understand and interpret financial information to aid decision-making. This challenge is more prevalent when clubs don’t have a Treasurer who is financially trained and can guide the committee.

Free online sessions or come along in person

The online workshops are free and will be facilitated by Grace Mugabe from Financially Empowered.

You can come along to a screening of the session, where light refreshments will be provided. Or you can sign in and watch along in the comfort of your own home.
