The Shire of Ravensthorpe is inviting residents, sporting clubs, community organisations and precinct users to help prioritise the future development of the Hopetoun Sporting Precinct.
A community workshop will provide an update on work undertaken since the Hopetoun Sporting Precinct Master Plan was developed in 2022. Participants will then help identify the projects that should receive the greatest priority during the next phase of planning.

The precinct supports football, cricket, hockey, tennis, netball, bowls, skating and other community recreation.
The 2022 Master Plan identified opportunities to renew ageing facilities, improve accessibility and better support women, juniors, volunteers, spectators and community events.
Projects identified in the long-term concept included:
- replacing the existing sporting pavilion with an accessible, multi-use facility
- developing indoor netball and basketball courts
- improving changerooms, toilets, first-aid, storage, kitchen and spectator facilities
- upgrading the oval, hockey pitch, cricket infrastructure, courts, lighting and scoreboards
- improving parking, pedestrian connections and all-abilities access
- creating more opportunities for young people and informal recreation through playgrounds, a pump track, fitness areas and skatepark improvements.
Community feedback will help guide the priorities for the precinct’s future development.
Everyone who uses or has an interest in the Hopetoun Sporting Precinct is encouraged to attend.
