New colours for Ravensthorpe gym

Equipment in the Ravensthorpe gym has been decked out in new colours to support the Ravensthorpe Tigers Football and Sporting Club.

The old and damaged leatherwork was repaired by our talented team member Marie Mayberry, who has a keen interest in sewing.

Marie used marine grade vinyl in Tigers colours of yellow and black for repairs on ten machines.

The project took her several months as she worked on it in between her other jobs.

Gym users told Marie they appreciated the work she was doing as she updated each machine.

"They were happy the machines were getting done up as the tears and rips were looking very old," she said.

"And once they saw the colours I was using and how it was brightening the place up and supporting the Tigers, they were really happy."

Now that the Ravensthorpe gym has had a makeover, the gym in Hopetoun is next.

We'll make sure to use different colours there!
