The GPS-SLK app from Main Roads Western Australia can help you pinpoint a location using a road number and Straight Line Kilometre (SLK).
This can be particularly useful when reporting an issue on a rural road or in an area where there isn’t a nearby street address or easily identifiable landmark.
GPS-SLK is available online or as a mobile phone app and is easy to use.
Simply take a photo through the app and it will automatically include useful location information on the image, including the date, time, GPS position road name and SLK.
You can then submit an online works request to the Shire and upload the photo with your request.
