It was an honour to welcome RDHS student leaders to the Ravensthorpe Council Chamber today for their official badge presentation.
Each student was sworn in by Shire President Cr Rachel Gibson and presented with their leadership badge by Principal Chantal Gurney-Pringle.
Cr Gibson also provided an overview of how local government operates, highlighting how decisions made in the chamber support the whole community.
CEO Nicole O’Neill then led a discussion on what students would like to see for young people in Ravensthorpe. They spoke with confidence and genuine passion, sharing ideas such as dedicated youth spaces and greater support for activities.
It is encouraging to see such strong, community minded leadership emerging from our local school.
