Bushfire mitigation: Hopetoun

Over the next fortnight we are doing bushfire mitigation work in vegetation and road reserves around Hopetoun.

We are using machinery to do this work. Please adhere to any traffic signs in place.

West Beach in Hopetoun CLOSED

We have closed West Beach in Hopetoun because there is a dead sea lion on the beach.

Please avoid the area as the dead animal could be diseased and please ensure your pets are kept well away from it as well.

The beach will remain closed until we can safely remove the dead animal, which might not be until tomorrow.
