NOTICE TO MUNGLINUP TIP USERS: CHANGES TO TIP OPERATIONS
To better control access and reduce illegal dumping at the Munglinup Waste Facility the Shire of Ravensthorpe is introducing some changes to the operations as detailed below:
1.ENTRY
Entry will be controlled by a fob operated padlock on the gate with monitoring by CCTV cameras from 1 July 2025.
Fobs can be obtained from the Shire and will require a $40 deposit paid in advance, refundable if the fob is returned. Fobs are not transferrable or able to be shared with others.
Access to the facility will be seven days per week between 6am and 6pm.
Entry continues to be free for Munglinup tip users who are Shire of Ravensthorpe ratepayers. Non-ratepayers will be required to pay an additional prepaid fee of $220.00 per year.
NOTE: The Munglinup Waste Facility is open to commercial and industrial customers by appointment only. Please contact the Shire for more information.
2. TYPES OF WASTE
The accepted materials are clearly displayed on a new sign at the entrance gate to the facility as shown below:

Some of the prohibited materials listed above will still be accepted at the Shire’s other waste facilities in Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun.
A better tip for all users
These changes will result in a better tip for all. Users are requested to follow the accepted waste disposal guidelines on the entry sign and to close the gate.
Tip operations will be reviewed annually.
Please contact the Shire by phone at (08) 9839 0000 or email shire@ravensthorpe.wa.gov.au.
