Whether you live in town or on a rural block, it is important you prepare for bushfire. Bushfires can start anywhere at any time.
It doesn't matter if you are the landowner or the occupier, all residents have the legal responsibilities to prepare their properties to reduce the risk of outbreak and spread of fire.
Please ensure your property complies with the Firebreak & Fire Control Notice and ensure your firebreaks are maintained until April 30 2026.
DFES has fantastic resources and advice to help you prepare:
My Bushfire Plan is an interactive preparedness tool that assists you in creating a bushfire plan.
It is the best way to keep you and your household safe, providing you with one place to prepare, store, print, share and update your bushfire plan any time, from any device.
You can also review what to put in your emergency kit and download the Emergency WA app.
