There was significant rainfall across the Shire of Ravensthorpe this week and several local roads were closed due to fast flowing water.
Our teams were kept busy inspecting the roads to ensure they were safe to reopen.
Jerdacuttup Road (below) was closed due to flooding. It is now open.

Carlingup Road (below) was another road closed due to fast flowing water over the crossing.
As of Thursday 17 April 2025 it remains closed.

For up to date information on all road closures, please visit the Road Report page.

Drive with caution
It is important to note the road conditions can change quickly and information contained on this website may not always be accurate.
Drivers are advised to drive with caution on wet roads, avoid crossing sections covered by water and to follow signage.
Damage to roads
Shire staff are also inspecting the condition of the roads as the water continues to recede.
Unfortunately this weather event has caused significant damage to some local roads in our region, such as Doyle Road (pictured below).

Springdale Road
While there was some damage to parts of Springdale Road, no water went over the new concrete bridge at the Jerdacuttup River crossing to the east of Orchid Road.
As at Thursday 17 April Springdale Road remains closed between Coxall Road and the Esperance Shire boundary due to water at Oldfield River crossing.
