About the role

The Shire of Ravensthorpe is looking for a highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, team focused person to join as a full time Ranger within our Projects & Regulatory Services Team.


** If you’re just starting out your career and have no Ranger qualifications we will consider taking an applicant on as a Trainee Ranger where you will gain essential experience as a Ranger in Local Government. You will complete on the job and external training in: Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 and 2, Dog and Cat Management and Control; and Firearm handling to name a few. Our ranger team also undertakes ground handling and airport reporting officer training as back-up to our airport team.

As a Ranger you shall hold a current C class license as a minimum and demonstrate essential experience as a Ranger in Local Government while enforcing the relevant Act’s, Local Laws, Legislation and successfully completed training in Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 and 2, Dog and Cat Management and Control; and Firearm Handling. You will also have or be working towards a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services).
