Bushfire: Fitzgerald River National Park

The South Coast Highway is CLOSED between Jerramungup and Ravensthorpe.

The REC is now an assembly point for firefighters. They will be sleeping at all hours, so please stay away from the tents.

The Ravensthorpe gym is closed until further notice. The Fitzgerald River National Park is closed.

Please take care when driving into Ravensthorpe as emergency vehicles are active in the area.

2024-25 Annual Report now online

The 2026 Annual Electors Meeting will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday 3 February at the Ravensthorpe Council Chamber.

Annual Electors Meetings are held once a year and are similar to an Ordinary Council Meeting, but the main purpose is to discuss the contents of the Annual Report.

All members of the community are encouraged to review the 2024-2025 Annual Report, which is available online here.

2026 Australia Day celebrations

Please join us at the Hopetoun Community Centre on Monday 26 January.

We'll announce the winners of this year's Citizen of the Year Awards as well as have a special citizenship ceremony.

Free community breakfast starts at 8 am with the ceremony to follow at 9 am.

There is something to meet every interest and fitness level.

We have a Gym in Hopetoun & Ravensthorpe.

Please visit our office in either Hopetoun or Ravensthorpe to sign up and become a member.

KidSport

KidSport enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5-18 years to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance towards club fees.

The fees go directly from the local government to the registered KidSport Clubs participating in the project.
