Fire Control and Firebreak Notice 2024-25 now online

It is the responsibility of ALL landowners/occupiers within the Shire of Ravensthorpe to read and fully understand the requirements mentioned within the notice.

Firebreaks must be in place on 31 October 2024 and then maintained as per the Shire of Ravensthorpe Firebreak Notice 2024-25 until 30 April 2025.

Draft plan to combat erosion in Hopetoun open for public comment

The Hopetoun coastline has been identified as an erosion hotspot.

The draft plan looks at several treatment options to combat erosion.

Blast notice and road closure info for Hopetoun residents

Contractors working on the Springdale Road bridge project have advised that they will be obtaining rock armour material from the Lechenaultia Road quarry near Hopetoun for erosion protection works.

The contractors have advised a blast is required to obtain the material and is due to be carried out between 10am and 1pm on Tuesday 8 August 2023.

The blast may cause significant noise for nearby residents and Lechenaultia Road will be closed to all traffic between 10am and 1pm.

All works are subject to weather conditions.
