Several bushfires are still burning across the Shire of Ravensthorpe this morning, including several at Watch and Act level. Please follow this link to read more: www.emergency.wa.gov.au

It has been a huge collaborative effort overnight with firefighters on the scene, actively fighting the fires. Thank you to Bush Fire Service volunteers, Career Fire and Rescue Service, Parks and Wildlife Service, SES volunteers, St John, Main Roads, local contractors and farmer response units, all of whom have been in attendance,

The South Coast Hwy From West River Rd to Newdegate Ravensthorpe Rd remains closed this morning. Emergency Services are on site. Smoke is in the area. Exercise extreme caution. Avoid the area.

60km/h speed restrictions are in place for the South Coast Highway from Munglinup Townsite to 1km east of Neds Corner Road.

Water Corporation is asking residents in Munglinup and Ravensthorpe to please limit water use to essential purposes only.

This means limiting water use to drinking, cooking and personal hygiene. Filling water tanks or bathtubs should be avoided.
