Bushfire Management Centre at Hopetoun

Published on Tuesday, 28 November 2023 at 2:20:18 PM

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) are planning to use the Hopetoun Sports Precinct as an assembly point for firefighters and emergency personnel while they fight bushfires in the Fitzgerald River National Park.

As they did in back in February (pictured above), they will use the sports ovals and surrounding areas to house temporary buildings and accommodation, such as dongas and tents.

Please make them all feel welcome.

Please take care when driving into Hopetoun town centre as emergency vehicles may be active in the area.
