Returning Officers needed

The WA Electoral Commission is recruiting Returning Officers for the conduct of the October 2023 Local Government elections.

The Shire of Ravensthorpe has been identified as an area in outstanding need for returning officers.

What do Returning Officers do?

Returning Officers are appointed by the WA Electoral Commission to conduct an election for a particular district or region. They are responsible for many aspects of the election process, including the management of polling places and polling place staff. They also manage candidate nominations and supervise the election in their district or region on polling day.

Returning Officers are a useful source of information during an election.
