Amendment to Dogs Local Law 2010
The Shire of Ravensthorpe has resolved to adopt the Shire of Ravensthorpe Dogs Local Law 2010 with Amendment March 2022.
The purpose of this local law is to make provisions about the impounding of dogs; to control the number of dogs that can be kept on a premises and the manner of keeping those dogs; to prescribe areas in which dogs are prohibited and dog exercise areas.
The effect of this local law is to extend the controls over dogs which exist under the Dog Act 1976.
A copy of the local law may be inspected at each Shire office between 9:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday, or viewed online here.
This local law was gazetted on 7 February 2024 and will come into operation on 21 February 2024.
