Seals are beautiful creatures and we are lucky to have them in our region.
To ensure their natural behaviours are undisturbed, it's crucial you and your pets keep a safe distance from them.
Seals often look as though they are sick or injured when they are not. Seals require long rest periods and are often just resting when observed on the beaches.
The Be Seal Wise website lists in detail what to do when you see a seal displaying this kind of behaviour.
If you are unsure if a seal needs assistance, maintain your distance and contact the Wildcare Helpline on (08) 9474 9055
