Shed for Hopetoun rural firefighters

Work on the new shed for the Hopetoun Rural Bush Fire Brigade at Blue Vista is coming along nicely.

The brigade was presented with the confirmation plan for the shed at their AGM and some valuable suggestions were made.

Those suggestions and ideas were incorporated into the design and approved by the brigade.

Shire work crews (pictured below) carried out the preliminary works of the project.

A large majority of the construction costs are covered by a DFES grant of $689,726.40.

The shed is due to be completed by December 2023.
